AAR to Showcase Global Capabilities at 2013 Dubai Airshow
November 13, 2013
Customer-focused solutions drive aerospace company’s expansion to EMEA
JEBEL ALI, Dubai – AAR will showcase its expanding capabilities around the globe, from Europe to Asia to the Middle East and Africa, at the 26th Dubai Airshow, November 17-21, at Dubai World Central.
Visitors to Booth #2118 will learn about AAR’s diverse portfolio of products and services across its aviation services and technology products business segments. They also will gain opportunities to hear directly from executives leading AAR’s Supply Chain and Airlift divisions; its European subsidiaries Telair, Nordisk and Airinmar; and Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Middle East, Africa and India Operations Rahul Shah.
Media professionals and bloggers are encouraged to arrange interviews in advance and stop by the booth, where the focus will be on the Company’s expanding global footprint.
“AAR has experience servicing customers in different regions and regulatory environments. We are well-positioned to create custom solutions for new opportunities in the growing commercial sector,” said Shah. “Partnerships are key to our expansion, so we look forward to the business forums and networking opportunities at the Dubai Airshow.”
In recent years, the U.S.-based commercial aviation and defense contractor has increased its global presence through acquisitions and customer-driven solutions, such as its parts supply warehouses in Amsterdam and Singapore, and component repair facility in Germany. AAR designs lightweight transport solutions that save on fuel costs and its advanced cargo loading systems help reduce manpower and the chance of injury. Earlier this year, AAR announced its innovative lightweight cargo solution that can contain an onboard fire for six hours of flight. The Company procures and leases aircraft and is the largest independent operator of airlift services to the U.S. Department of Defense in Afghanistan. Every day, AAR pilots transport personnel, cargo and mail in tough environments, over land and at sea.
Other services being presented in Dubai include AAR’s inventory management programs; aircraft and engine parts supply operations; parts repair management; aircraft and engine sales and leasing; component repairs; services for landing gear, wheels and brakes; and engineering services. Technology products and solutions will include communications systems integration; metals machining; composites manufacturing; and design and engineering services.
Highly anticipated in the industry, the biennial Dubai Airshow is the leading aerospace event in the Middle East. This year’s show is predicted to be the biggest and the busiest in its 26-year history, attracting some 1,000 exhibitors to the show floor.
Besides Shah, AAR executives on hand to discuss the company’s services, products and partnership opportunities in Dubai will include John Holmes, Group Vice President, Aviation Supply Chain; Andy Murphy, Vice President and General Manager, AAR Defense Systems & Logistics; Randy Martinez, President and CEO, AAR Airlift Group; Steve Harrison, Chief Commercial Officer, AAR Airlift Group; Peter Grau, Vice President, Sales and Marketing Europe, the Middle East and Africa, for Nordisk; and Axel Hauner, President, Telair.
Previously held at Airport Expo near Dubai International, the air show this year will be conducted for the first time at the purpose-built venue in Dubai World Central. The show was last held in 2011.
