AAR Mobility Systems awarded a $125 million sole source firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract from the US Air Force to produce and repair 463L Cargo Pallets

CADILLAC, Michigan — AAR’s (NYSE: AIR) Mobility Systems division, a leading global supplier of rapid deployment equipment, has been awarded a sole source firm-fixed-price (FFP) requirements contract that includes a base year with four one year option periods from the U.S. Air Force for the production and repair of 463L cargo pallets. The total contract value is $125 million. The cargo pallets will be manufactured and repaired in Cadillac, Michigan.

The 463L USAF design uses a lightweight balsa wood core that continues to provide unparalleled strength-to-weight performance and reliability compared to alternative commercial pallet designs. The pallets are designed to be loaded and off-loaded on a variety of military and commercial aircraft.
