Parts supplier of the year expands global distribution network, enhances parts availability

SINGAPORE — AAR (NYSE: AIR) is expanding its supply chain distribution network and inventory for the Asia market, strengthening its presence in the region and helping to boost distribution and reduce lead time for customers.

An important part of this expansion is an inventory of Unison Industries’ aerospace components that will be made available from a warehouse in Singapore. The increased inventory will also include aerospace parts and components for AeroControlex Lube and Scavenge Pumps and customer-specific inventory. Adding product to this Singapore facility will make parts more accessible to commercial and regional aircraft operators in Asia and Australia.

“Our customers were requesting inventory and a presence in the region to help meet their shorter lead-time demands,” said Paul Richardson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, AAR Aviation Supply Chain, Singapore. “Today, we’re holding dedicated inventory to support customer programs and material for sale to all customers at this new, strategically located distribution hub.”

The Asia hub is managed by AAR Distribution, which operates as part of AAR’s Allen Asset Management division. The program leverages AAR’s global reach and extensive experience providing supply chain, component repair and parts distribution services to the commercial aviation industry.

AAR is an exclusive supplier of aerospace parts for the Unison distribution channel, including turbine ignition systems, engine-dedicated alternators, sensors, switches and wiring harnesses.
