Fourth consecutive year of recognition for commercial component repair and defense logistics

WOOD DALE, Illinois — AAR (NYSE: AIR) announced today that it has earned Boeing Gold Performance Excellence Awards at two of its operating units for the fourth consecutive year. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers that have achieved superior performance. AAR maintained Gold composite performance ratings for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2012 to Sept. 30, 2013.

“We are honored to once again earn Boeing’s Gold Performance Excellence award at our component repair and defense logistics businesses and are proud of the AAR employees who work hard every day to maintain high standards,” said Timothy J. Romenesko, President and Chief Operating Officer of AAR CORP. “These awards demonstrate our employees’ dedication, as well as the breadth of AAR’s capabilities for commercial aviation and government and defense markets.”

Boeing maintains more than 23,000 global suppliers, and AAR is one of only 124 to receive Gold status.

AAR’s Aircraft Component Repair division in Amsterdam earned the recognition for its in-house component repairs and for managing a network of component repair subcontractors in support of European airlines that operate 717 and 737NG aircraft. AAR’s Defense Systems and Logistics division was recognized for its supply-chain management services in support of The Boeing Company’s Harrier Integrated Supply Support (HISS) performance-based logistics contract. That program sustains the AV-8B Harriers operated by the U.S. Marine Corps, Italy and Spain from Cherry Point, N.C., where AAR manages inventory and logistics for the versatile fixed-wing aircraft.
